"Are you too good for the food i catch?" He paused, knowingly. "You seem to know a bit about silence, but so does my sister.....what do you know about silence that no one else does? But an even better question, what is your name?" He smirked, trying to make her feel comfortable, but realizing it wasn't going to work.

She sighed slightly, knowing that few wolves would ever understand her ways. "No, not that at all. It is not my custom to eat what you do not catch - you fend for yourself and feed yourself." She shifted, looking back to the spot where the fox had vanished into the brush, she could see nothing but her ears told her differently. The fox still lurked in the shadows for some unknown reason.
"I know little about her, but I encountered her on your packs borders and she . . . . . . how should I put this, she doesn't exactly enjoy my company. Then again no one else seems to either."
She sighed, not wanting to give him her name for sake that her name was something she did not easily give out. "My name doesn't matter now does it? I am just a loner, and you are a member of a growing pack. Why should you care to have the knowledge of my name?" Truthfully she yearned to tell this wolf her name, why she didn't know. It was not like her to actually want to tell a wolf her name - most of the time she enjoyed remaining the mysterious wolf that no one knew anything about. It gave her the ability to vanish into nothing with nothing but an image to remember her by. A name gave you the power of memory, and that was something she wanted no wolf to have. She did not want to be known as Faith - the wolf who had none. She let out a small breath, turning to face him.
"You should get back to your pack - they should be starting to worry about you. Don't worry about me either, I'll be gone before morning. I have something to tend to." That something was her brother, unfortunately she had found one of them and now regretted every word she had said to him. That was one of many things she needed to fix. The rest being the fact that the rouge pack was on her land. Yes, her land. She almost snarled at the thought of it. Just a few more days and she would attempt to kill as many wolves in their pack as possible. Then she herself would be killed - there was no doubt of that fact. The taste of their blood and knowledge of their pain would give her the happiness she had so long been deprived of, and it would be fitting that she die afterwards.

She stopped short, her mind went blank with those words. Her face didn't show it, nor did her body but her eyes, how she despised them. The held, for just a moment the glimpse of shock and fear but at the same time some form of compassion. Love? No, love what not something she could ever have.
As if she had not even heard the additional bit she spoke, "If you must know to leave me then my name is Faith. Ironic in all terms but still, it is just a name. Nothing about it really means much. Save for something to call me by." She paused looking into the forest again. Her ears twitched, pulling forward to better catch the sound of something moving, possibly something edible. "Wait here, if you wish. I think I may have something to eat tonight."
Without waiting to hear his response she was off, fast but wary of each and every branch in the forest. Slowing down once she hit the thinker bramble she spotted the noise maker and sighed, Falcon had come looking for her. She growled slightly, "Falcon. What are you doing here?" He turned toward her, and with a small whimper she took a step backwards. "S - storm, but he said you were -"
"That I was dead" His voice was low, and his face seemingly drawn into a snarl. "Ah but I'm far from it dear sister, and now that I have found you by chance I wish to know, how is your mate going. Or did he leave you on short notice?" He chuckled slightly as she looked down, her eyes on the brink of tears. "Whats the matter Faith? The blind pup lost her way, or were you looking for some handouts?" With that word he snarled, almost lashing out at her. "You made me this way Faith, don't you remember? Don't you remember how you left me in that trap for the hunters? Don't you?"
She turned, not caring now if the branches grabbed her face, not caring how many times she fell if any. She could only run, towards the scent of Maric. Maric, she was leading him straight towards him. No. "Maric! Run, run now!" She was frantic now, turning she felt his impact on her and quickly threw him off, using his speed against him. "Storm, stop it! You told me to leave, please stop." She was no longer the strong loner, no longer the patient blind fool. She was just another wolf, just another wolf with a brother that wanted her dead. She was Faith, no more masks because there was no time. How could she kill rouges when her own brother could outmatch her? She was weak. Why bother living? Why . . ? For a brief moment she closed her eyes, the darkness welcoming her into oblivion. "Storm. Don't stop. End me." What she hoped would be her last words . . . .

Maric caught site of them. "FAITH!" He ran strait toward the strange wolf, grabbing its neck, bringing him down with no struggle, no energy used. He dug his teeth into the neck, to slightly paralyze the foe. He looked to faith, her eyes slightly closed. What was going on?

Storm laughed meekly, his throat slightly paining him since the wolf had a fairly decent hold. His voice was broken just barely, and he spoke without showing any pain. "Maric, eh? I suppose that is your name since my sister was so kind to warn you of my coming. Foolish choice on your part to attack me." He threw him off easily, his hold pulling out a tuff of fur but since he had not fought against the hold, Maric had not grabbed the right spot. "Well, maric. You need to learn to grab the right spot." He lifted a paw, pointing to a small spot just next to where his jaw met his neck. "This is the spot that would have cause at least some damage." He looked back at Faith. "Now, I trust she has not told you much about herself, but she deserves to be killed for what she did to me. I won't lay a paw on her, but I wish I could. Her and Falcon both should die, but I have no business with loners so I won't bother with her. You on the other hand . . . are no loner. Loners know how to fight at least."
Faith spoke, her voice not broken but her eyes still closed. "Leave him be Storm. He means nothing, in fact I was planning on leaving him when you found me. Then again, kill him if you wish. I have no need of a pack, nor his care."
Storm nodded slightly, turning from him. "So be it, he will live. If I find you joined their pack, you will die." He paused slightly, "Faith. I am going to kill the rouges."
She nodded, opening her eyes. "Best of luck brother. You will do a far better job than I intended to do. Kill without mercy . . ."
He finished the sentence, "Die without fear."

Faith turned to Maric, her head low. "Something you should know nothing about. This is "
Storm nodded, "So you do not lie, eh Faith? Well, I trust you will be back to your old ways in no time - telling half-truths to get what you need then killing the wolf who choose to help you." He grinned, as his dark form vanished as quickly and quietly as he had come.
She sighed, tempted to yell into the distance that she had given up that but she knew he wouldn't believe her. She had used a wolf after all, and he was so nice to her wasn't he? The faint hints of a memory gave her the short appearance of happiness that was such a false mirror it amused her to even think of it. She had been happy once . . . once. Once upon a blue moon as the saying goes? Yes, just an omega in a pack though just an omega. He had loved her, had he not? He gave her food did he not? He led her to the pack, thus leading the pack to their doom. No. She had to stop. She couldn't bear to think of him. The hints of his name. No, she mustn't speak his name. 'Gannon' She could think it all she wanted to . . . . . . . 'Gannon'
Storm had left, and yet he couldn't help but think of what she had done so very long ago. Perhaps his memory had faded, perhaps they had stayed with him for a while . . . . perhaps. No. They had left him for either the rouges to kill or the humans to take they had left him. She was nothing but a pup, just another helpless little imp like the dogs he would kill so very easily. Pathetic

ooc;; Here is the deal - post a one sentence reply again and I will have to delete this thread. I gave a lot to work with, and instead of replying to just one thing reply to each and every paragraph. I don't mean to be cruel or anything but uh . . . . there really is no way to say that you need to have longer posts. Its in the rules - go read em if you want.

occ;eeek, me sorry.//////
Maric looked toward her, then to the ground. "I see I am not wanted here," he said in a low, almost hurt tone of voice, "I am sorry, for I did not realize it, goodbye." He turned away. "I'm sure we will see each other again." He started to walk away, sniffing out the pack but the scent was hard to track. The air had grown slightly cold, sending a chill through his body. He now wondered why he had tried so hard to even befriend this wolf, so strange to his eye. Something about her had made him come. Maybe destiny, maybe a mistake. He would not speak of her to the pack, for fear of their reaction. The air grew colder, hardly yard away from her. What was going on?

She turned toward him, or rather the sound his footsteps made as he walked away. "Wait. You may not be able to get back to your pack . . . this place has a habit of looking the same unless you know your way around. I will help you find them, in the morning." She paused, shifting uneasily. She had never trusted wolves, not even pack wolves.
"There is a small den in the ridge." She motioned with her tail toward a small hole in the speckled rock. "Its not as big as the ones you have in your territory, if you have found the dens that my pack used to use." She shifted again, this time moving closer to the rock.
"Well, I will be sleeping on the ledge above it. You can take me up on the offer or get lost in the forest. Your choice. But, um, if you go out in the woods I am probably going to follow you." She laughed lightly. "I don't trust my brother, he may be my blood but he enjoys spilling the blood of others.
She tried to see him in the darkness, only his outline was visible with her weak eyesight. Was she falling . . . no. Best not to think about that just yet. She would bring him back to the pack, and that would be it. Then she would vanish. Yes. That was the best plan.

He looked back at her, confused. Her words were correct, he would be lost in minutes, but would it be safer just to leave? No..... He headed slowly back to her, his head low to the ground. He stood in front of her, "you're brother is of no worry to me, if he wishes to fight me, it would be the end of both of us." he said, calm, yet not understanding his statement, "I wish to stay with you, until morning. Thank you." He spit out. Maric did not know what to do with out her, she was protecting him, but he was protecting her.

She pulled her ears back, the sound of his voice making her twitch slightly. She didn't anwser, only laid down on the bit of ground that she had chosen. A small chill went up her spine, the wind picking up slightly. She sniffed the air slowly as she felt herself drift into sleep, the scent of rain only comfirming her thoughts that it was going to rain soon, possibly thunder. She thought of Storm, a small grin on her face. He would enjoy the storm but . . . . she wouldn't.
----------
It was a few hours since either wolf had talked, she was still staring out into the distance. She had felt the first drops of rain only moments ago, and still she couldn't help but think about Maric who she assumed was asleep. She hated talking with wolves, she hated being near wolves and yet . . . . yet she enjoyed being near him. She sighed softly, the rain now comming down in waves. She was drenched but that didn't bother her all that much, the wind did, it was the wind combined with the rain that made her cold. If there was one thing she hated more in this world than anything else it had to be the cold. She would get over it though, it was only one night.

Maric awoken to the pound of rain and the wind piercing his muzzle. He turned to Faith, seeing she was looking out to the land beyond. Was she uncomfortable near him? The wind hit him again and a chill went down his back. Then he thought to himself, Remmus. How was she, had anything happened to her, was she waiting for him? No. Now he focuses on the moment. Faith reminded him of someone, someone long forgotten. But now found...... by him. Was she feeling the same? She seemed so sure of herself, something maric longed for. But couldn't ever get. Maybe she could change him.
