It was his voice, soon followed by his form that made her quiver with a slight fear. That scent no doubt giving him a rush of power and glory. "So Silence, found a new friend have you?" He was mocking her with pleasentries, and yet he yearned to nuzzle her as Nedjo was given the chance to. He yearned for so much more than she thought he was. He would get nothing though, and in the end he knew the fate that was bestowed upon him.

He inwardly rose a brow at her slight change in demeanor. Crescendo had seen her shift her muzzle to growl. He stepped a foot closer to her and turned his head to eye their surroundings. The beat of drums steadily grew in volume, though as this rumbling intro sounded, it was soft and heavy.
"Relish in the pain, mm? Seems like this Daemon fellow hides much in his shadow."
Crescendo raised a paw slightly off the ground before stamping down, leaving a soft but shaking thud to echo through the trees and fade in the distance. It was as if his paw had struck a drum that was the earth. He had done this in wariness and warning to the creature he saw to slip by the shadows.
His eyes fell upon Daemon as he presented himself to them in such a wraith like, yet hushed manner. He spoke, his tone of voice soft, though like a blade on a knife, it held an edge of sharpness.
"You speak as if you're envious of anyone whom does befriend her." He uttered in the same mocking manner.
Crescendo's eyes scanned this creature, following the scar that ran from Daemon's muzzle, his large and powerful figure, and finally the glowering crimson eyes. Crescendo quivered in a rush of... what? He felt... This creature gave off such powerful auras caked with so much emotion that Crescendo could not even hope to comprehend. It was...
The strings mourned together, emanating a lachrymose melody. Such a melody, however, was fortified by a powerful wave of accompanying cellos, making the tearful music seem as if the tears are well masked: well hidden, but ready to explode. Soon, he heard a dark rumble of drums further hide this tune for danger crept into the arena.
It was wistful, with the aegis of rage. What does this creature hide...?
Crescendo's eyes stared intently for an answer, but to no avail. Instead, his gaze turned from analytical to cautious. He knew there was something to be said between Silence and Daemon. Not wishing to intrude... much, Crescendo waited.
His tail swayed.

Silence glared at Daemon, his tone of voice giving her a new hope that she could get rid of him. "Yes Daemon is quite the wolf, though cursed." She chuckled slightly, "Right Daemon?"
He growled slightly, "Silence, don't test me. I may love you but I still have a job to do, and that means that in the end I must kill you." He closed his eyes slightly, regretful of what he knew he had to do or at least find someone else to do. "So. Let us see what you have collected today."
He turned toward Crescendo, "Older than Teethakin this one. Though I don't believe he is a Mystic." He circled him, only once. Pausing at his face and speaking softly, "I am wary of those that befriend Silence. She is my enemy, so those that befriend her are mine."
"Now, Silence." He came closer to her, their muzzles almost touching. She did not budge, and a fear was in her eyes. "I intend to make your pup mine, to make sure he knows nothing of Nedjo." He touched his muzzle to hers. "Silence. Why Nedjo?"
She pushed him aside, making sure her claw dug into his face. "Because, unlike you he cares for other wolves and doesn't intend to bring about my death."
He sighed, "Yes. I suppose that is true, but you should know I have no choice." He looked at Crescendo, "So wolf, what is your name?" Somehow Daemon had calmed slightly, his form less vicious and more sad than anything. He held a joy in his heart though, he had nuzzled her. He had nuzzled her. The very thought of it made him realize that if he did not become a Mystic he could have had a chance to become her mate. That was gone though, he knew his fate was sealed.

Crescendo shifted and relaxed some at their words. This was like a tragic tale of romance except the female hates the guts of the male. This had almost made him chuckle out loud if it were not for the grave and steep turn of melody that rang in his ears. His ears flickered before standing erect again. These sounds... He knew now how much wonder and mystery these lands had in store for him, but to hear so much in one night really lulled the pup spirit in him to sleep. Speaking of which...
He listened to their conversation and curled his lips into a small amused smile whenever he was mentioned by Daemon. Crescendo gave a soft nod to Daemon's words once he had finished circling him.
"Understandable, that is, because she is your enemy."
Crescendo said no more for he had no place to; he knew nothing of the situation, nor did he want to push for the answer till the secret keepers chose to tell the tale. He only blinked slowly as Silence clawed Daemon roughly to push him away. Facing Daemon again, he gave a short nod and gently uttered his reply.
"I am Crescendo. I must also compliment the music that emanates from your very presence. It is quite majestic, and it makes me curious as to what such an interesting score will sound like in the third movement."
He caught himself again as he realized he was in the middle of a semi-rant. Crescendo laughed gently before nodding his head.
"Forgive me, I also must say how much Silence's song complements yours in a dangerously suspenseful waltz."
Crescendo closed his eyes, murmuring softly to himself before parting his lips as if to howl. But no ear piercing cry escaped his throat, it was a soft echoing hum that ventured forth. Raising and falling between pitches, and weaving in between notes, a song flowed forth that imitated the sound of the humans deep wood wind instrument.
The sound made the leaves rustle gently as it spread throughout the forest. In the distance, the earth rumbled, but the trees absorbed the light tremor with their roots. The tingle traveled up the trunks, allowing the trees to moan softly in response as their branches bended and swayed.
Crescendo closed his lips and opened his eyes, the song fading slowly. With a soft sigh of content that released a silvery haze into the night air, he ended the song with a soft thud of his paw against the earth.
Dumm... The earth is a drum under their paws.
"Your spirits ache in pain."

Daemon was puzzled at first by his complement, his song? Was the old wolf that insane that he could hear 'songs' upon seeing a wolf. Daemon laughed to himself, his former self almost showing through in the presence of what one part of him considered to be just a weak loner, whereas the other saw him as a wise elder. How odd was it that this split persona was coming now of all times. He touched his paw to the small cut on his face, looking at the blood before turning to silence with a mute truce.
The next phrase stunned her just as much as it ha d stunned Daemon. "Silence's song complements yours." Those words, replaying. She looked to him for only a moment but it was long enough to catch the expression in his eyes. A true regret held in them, a true love. Something she had never seen before in his eyes, at least not for a long time. He would find no such look in her eyes now. Only the pain of knowledge were in hers. She knew what he felt, more than most would ever imagine. He had truly loved her once, as she had loved him back. That was ancient history though. Nothing of that mattered much anymore. "Crescendo, Our songs may once have paired but now they will do no such thing. He made his choice a long time ago - power in exchange for love. Now he has lost what he has fought to save. For that we will not even walk on the same ground, for that he is just as bad as those that try to kill me with hatred." She smiled weakly. "Daemon. I believe it is time for you to leave."
He looked at her silently, a small sigh and he attempted to take a step toward her as if to comfort her. Pausing he turned, "To true Silence to true. Do not forget the words that passed here. I still mean to make your pup my own. I promise you, come summer your life will be over and it will be my doing." His form seemed to fade into the darkness. He did not look back. How could he? If he had, he feared he may not have been able to keep his promise. He had to though. He had no choice. Ever since that one day, he had never had a choice. Just a pawn. We are all just pawns.

Hm... Perhaps he had said too much. Crescendo flexed his paw gently to loosen his tense muscles, a simple action that could've been done at a better time. He turned his head to Silence and nodded, lowering his head slightly.
"My apologies. It is difficult to truly tell what the entwining songs mean."
Crescendo watched her carefully as she sorrowfully debriefed him on her bond with Daemon. What has come to pass that did not allow some sort of compromise to settle? Was there something holding her back as she said this? He noticed the faltering expression on Daemon's face as well. There truly is something else that ran deeper into their story.
All creatures are in tune with nature, in accompaniment to nature's song, comes the movement of its inhabitants. Crescendo only felt the lonely cry of a woodwind as Daemon faded into the shadows of the umbra from whence he came. Crescendo turned silently to Silence again, she looked so sad now.
"He speaks as if fate is already predetermined and unchangeable." He murmured under his breath. A puppet always has a string. Who tugged upon it? Same goes for every pawn in the heat of battle. Rush... Rushing blindly forward into the insanity they unwillingly form.
Or.. It could have been something else. He narrowed his eyes at this thought and shook his head. Instead, he focused his gaze on the winged white beauty before him that so spoke wisdom beyond her years. ...Wisdom or utter nonsense squeezed from the depths of an aching heart. He inquired gently, swaying his tail absentmindedly.
"He does not seem to have lost all sense of love. You say he is just as bad as those whom would murder you in cold blood. But he seems to still yearn to walk alongside thee." Crescendo tilted his head ever so slightly.
"Now that he has gone, what is your itinerary?"

"Maybe his intentions were once good, but he has changed so much since when we were happy. Now his belief is an extreme of our talents. Cursed though he may be, there are always ways around curses for a cost of course." She shifted her weight, turning slightly as if leaving. "As far as what I am going to do, maybe we should just head to the pack. That is, if the pack is still alert. We can have a little test." She chuckled, "Lets she how they'll react to you coming into their new territory. Don't worry 'bout to much. My brother is the alpha, if I let you in he probably won't mind all that much."
Se began to walk, then stopping she looked back toward Crescendo, "Well, you coming?"

Crescendo smiled at the thought of once again traveling with a pack. Giving a nod to Silence, he trotted forth to stand beside her, letting lead the way.
"Oh, this is most exciting. It has been a while since I've laid eyes on a united pack. I doubt I pose as a threat to your pack." He wagged his tail as an excited pup would, though his face was still a soft and gentle stoic expression. "Are there any young pups?"
As for Daemon, his thoughts on the enigmatic young blood faded for the moment. It was not something for him to interfere with. Whether there was such a thing as destiny, it didn't matter, for the future was molded by their very paws. What the future wrought was reflected by their actions, and only time will tell them what the consequences of those actions really are.

ooc;; I finally get a chance on the computer and then my mom wants me off 15 minutes after I start this so I don't have much time - apologies if this is horrible. -.- Next time I will post here first because it always seems as if people tend to steer me away from this thread. *grr*
bic:: Silence nodded slightly, "Actually there are quite a few . . I never really thought about that but I believe we have five . . . yes that seems about right. Of course, I don't know what we are going to do. There have been quite a few . . . problems lately."
She remembered the skirmish with Nedjo and her brother, a small shudder passing through her. No need for fear though, not anymore at least. Fear was an illusion, at least by her experiences. "I don't suppose you have any experiences with your ones? We need all the help we can get and my brother is in no shape to take care of his pups and myself, well I have never been a mother before so I don't know what to do. Hopefully you know something about that subject . . . "
She chuckled, "By the way, the wolves might be a tad bit on edge, as I said we have had a few problems and I don't know how that has changed things. I haven't gotten a chance to really talk with anyone since-" she cut herself off, not really wanting to tell this newcomer what he was getting himself into. Truth was, she didn't even know herself. She had gained an insight into something most wolves would only see once, she had seen it twice now. The second of the two was far harder to come back from but she did.
