The faint whispers of the wind through the trees, the soft footsteps of small creatures that made the ground seem as if it were moving. The shafts of dappled moonlight that bled through the treetops like a silver blood you could not touch. Scents, so many of them. The pungent smell of tree sap, the scent of fresh mud after a long rain. Indeed, it had rained and the ground still had the proof. No birds were eating the worms, save for a few crows that seemingly would not sleep. The hoot of an owl, the small squeak of a dieing rat as a fox found its midnight snack. The glimpse of white fur among the browns and greens of the forest. The reflection of silver as the wolf passed through the moonlight, its icy blue eyes like a puddle of pain and water frozen together. Her paws stepping lighting, making only as much noise as a small rodent scurrying through the underbrush. Not hunting, nor scouting, meerly walking. Silence indeed lived up to her name with her ability to walk so swiftly without making a sound, as if she were simply floating just above the ground.
With a single breath she knew all that was around her, the small mouse to her far left, the towering tree behind her, the scent of another wolf toward the front and to the right. Yes, another wolf withing the territory. No, not in but close to it. The scent markers were slightly faded, it had been two days that they had yet marked the trees. Soon they would be settled, soon. The faint heartbeat she heard gave her a glimmer of hope, soon. Her mind was thoughtfull, even though she knew so much there was so many more questions left unanwsered. Like a neverending story, such was her life. She did not dare to speak, or confront the wolf. Fear was not her problem, or maybe it was. The encounter with Daemon was still fresh in her mind, not only that but what she had seen the instant his paw had touched her flesh. The mere memory of it was enough to make her go insane. No, not Silence, she was used to these things. Used to pain and death along with suffering. Why then, did this bother her so much? Was it because of whom was to die? Or was it because of the price she would have to pay to try and save him?

Silver indeed was the light that enveloped all including old Crescendo, turning his light brown coat misty and gray. The rainwater that lay on the ground glistened under Khaulevoir's light, adding a gentle twinkle to the calm night serenade. He no longer trotted with the grace of youth. Age was both a companion and predator of life. Yet this minor block was not something that affected his merry gait.
His lips curled with a widened smile as he panted gently, the warmth of his breath mixing with the moist air. It was a good feeling along his flanks; the wind gently blowing against him, cooling the moisture in the air as he ventured. This cooled his heated body from the day's travels.
Into unknown territory he ventured toward. He knows this for his keen sense of smell has not failed him yet! Age has not yet claimed such a trait from one of the Wolf's prized attributes. However, this was what troubled him.
This land... it teemed with a faint rumble of rage. There were trails of hatred that strewn its obscenity in the trembling earth. The wind whispered truthful rumors of clouded events that took place here. All of this seemed faint because Crescendo, now stopping before a tree, has just stopped at the gate of entry. One more step and into unknown lands he will enter.
A small pinch of curiosity willed him forth. It was one paw. Just one step was all it took to initiate the beginnings of a monodrama strummed with the most sorrowful Mormoroso he had ever heard. However, he sensed this in no other creature around him, but from a lingering spirit from afar.
There was also another tune following close behind that sorrowful song, one that hinted hope? It was so very faint. As Crescendo closed his eyes, he could hear it just a little.
He padded forth, his smile renewed as the peace calmed him once more. He was quite ready for yet another adventure. As he padded forth ever so slowly in to the darkness, he held his head up to Khaulevoir and howled a gentle greeting to the night sky.
He did not expect a response, but it was a start.
In the dark of the night, I travel under silver light. Let my presence be known, for in peace I come, and am alone.

Silence perked her ears, the sound of the wolfs howl playing in her mind and fading into the distant trees. She crept towards it, not wanting to scare the wolf or let out her own howl. She didn't need to, she was no alphess. She didn't even have a position, save for that of Mystic. She could just as well be a loner and still have the same effect on the lives of the pack. The wolf was in her site now, a shift of the wind and she would be exposed.
Just as she thought it the wind shifted ever so slightly, as if the Sky Walkers were taunting her. She deserved every bit of punishment she recieved at this point. The wolf would smell her now, but she still did not want to come out. In part because she was out of breath, quite a distance to run and for her . . . . . state. Not the best idea.

As the wind blew his way, Crescendo gradually slowed to a complete stop before the brush. The gentle breeze carried with it the scent of another wolf... One that was dead ahead of him. His lavender eyes twinkled in the moonlight as he gazed forth.
Again, the wind blew and before him, a flash of a beautiful silver hue has finally shown itself, though unintentionally. Crescendo stepped forth slowly and carefully as to not startle the female that hid from him, watching.
What a sad tune that emanates from this creature, he thought, his ears lowering back. He also lowered his head in respect, for there was an aura of power about this charismatic creature of elegant white fur. When the wind blew, he also caught the gaze of a brilliant blue stare: observing, suspecting, studying him. From here, the faint gentle song that accompanied its mother immediately told him of the young pup within her womb.
Crescendo let out a gentle whine of concern, though it was not his place, he could sense fatigue heavy on her heart. He knows not of her power or if she could understand his strange ways, however, he lightly thumps his right paw upon the grass once and touches his nose to the ground.
A faint ringing of bells sounds in the distant corners of the Umbra, and the light of the moon that is reflected on the grass seems to rise from the earth in a haze of silvery blue. The mist hovers only a few inches above the ground beside Crescendo. He utters another low whine, his canine lips curling upwards into a small smile. A musical tune is struck at his whine.
My intentions are not dark and vile. Please, converse with me and rest a while.
These lands are strange to me, as I am to thee.
This mist you see before you shall soothe thine aching body with the power of Khaulevoir's Healing Bell. Stranger I am to your eyes, I vow that I do mean well.

The music, the faint music. She pushed her ears forward, almost warry of this wolf. Age hade claimed him and yet, she knew this was not your everyday wolf. She took just one step, not wanting to come to close. Not knowing what this wolf would do. It was such a strange thing to her, not knowing. For once she could feel nothing from the Sky Walkers, nothing from his sounds or scent. Nor from the sight of him. Mainly why she feared, no, respected. This wolf was different indeed. Good.
"Who is Khaulevoir? Why do you sign like the angelic pack? You are not one of them, are you?" Questions, perhaps to much but her mind was one that sought knowledge. Always wanting knowledge. The black star on her paw seemed to shimmer just slightly as she looked over the wolf, trying to find any wounds or internal injuries.

His heart weighed lighter now that he knew she could speak. He stopped speaking through the wind and sat on his haunches. Crescendo breathed deeply before speaking, his voice as deep as the lowest chord of a tribal humans war horn. However, war is not present in his words.
"Ah, so you do speak! Forgive me, I am Crescendo. Khaulevoir is the very being that shines before us when the sky is resting. She is the shining pendant that the night sky dons."
He smiles gently at the wolfs barrage of questions. Like he was when he was in his prime, he was curious of everything. A thirst for knowledge was one of the many things that drove him and still fuel him to this day. Knowledge is power and the will to power is to love.
"No, I am not of the Angelic Pack. I stumbled upon this marvelous thing called 'music' long ago from the Humans. It took some time to learn, but now it is my way of life."
He nods gently to confirm himself as his eyes slowly scanned over the maiden wolf, the markings upon her coat drawing his attention.
"Tell me your name, Curious one. I wish to know, for I've not met anyone as silent as yourself for many, many years."
Crescendo stood again and took a slow step forward, a movement which seemed to silently ask if he may approach to conversational distance. The mist from before also followed his movement, and sunk into the ground blending in with the moisture o'er the grass. The earth seemed to purr and shimmer as the cool breeze brushed passed the blades of dark green.

"You mean the moon?" She laughed slightly, "I suppose the Skywalkers are right, Wolves are more different than I believe." She shifted her position, now more calm and far less nervous.
"Music? My birth pack knew such a thing, I myself never had much talent at it though. Half breed that I am." She paused, thinking if she should tell this wolf her name. A soft chuckle passed her lips, and her voice was almost sarcastic, "The name is as the sound, Silence." She bowed slightly, most wolves in her pack were taught to respect the elders and respect she shall give. Who knows, perhaps this wolf has powers far greater than her own. Maybe he knows, maybe he is another kind of Mystic. But no, she felt no connection of that sort. If he was a type of Mystic he was strange indeed, addopting the ways of Human kind was unheard of, even with the Demonic wolf pack who made the greatest effort to break any and all rules they could think of.
She walked towards him, tempted to circle him but she had a feeling that it would make him nervous. She could see no battle scars, no markings or current wounds. A rarity for a wolf his age. She still had the mark from when Rainscoft had clawed her, her healing abilites were far to focused on the pup and Nedjo to care about herself.

He gave a smile at her laugh, his tail swaying gently behind him.
"Yes, Wolves are different all around. Tell me more about yourself, Silence. You say you are a half breed?" Crescendo dipped his head in a nodding motion before approaching her. He could smell the slow fading of a wound 'pon her flanks. Raising his head again, he slows his pace towards her considerably and begins to circle her. His movements were more curious, testing, rather than challenging and foreboding.
His eyes once again analyze her closely; she hid it well, however, a light tremor in the song that emanated from her being told him otherwise. Crescendo moved closer and closer till they were mere inches apart and he could gaze into her eyes. It was like reading a book without knowledge of the language it was written in. He circles around her once more and lowers his nose over the wound once he found it. Closing his eyes, Crescendo whispers softly out to her, the same musical touch that accompanied his voice from before.
Do not fear this power of mine. Close your eyes and you shall be fine. I'll make sure of it.
The wind rustled through the entanglement of branches in the trees above, and also caused the hazy mist of silvery blue to rise once again. Having done so, it curls itself upwards, the haze flickering like a pseudo-flame in the gentle breeze. Slowly it drifted toward the wound and circled the area above it. Crescendo gently blew upon it, his warm breath pushing it onto the wound where it settled and began to sizzle. However, it should not be painful for he has had the same spell cast upon himself long ago.
He had just realized the height and width difference between he and Silence. He gave a soft laugh and rested his chin upon her back, nuzzling gently in a benevolent manner.
"The wound will no longer ache and the healing dew will course through your body for it is rich with the many gifts of nutrients in the elements you see before you. The wind, the rain, the earth and the moonlight."
He padded back a step as the mist faded into the wound, leaving behind a light mark that will soon fade entirely with her own body's natural healing ability, and not her actual power itself.
Unfortunately for Crescendo, during the 'performance' he had used most of his energy. The long journey that brought him to this place also wore at him. Yawning gently, he lied down on his belly, his hind legs resting at one side. He still kept his head up to face Silence with a small smile. Nothing a good night's sleep without the aid of magicks can't handle.
"How do you feel? My sister used that'un on me once, felt chilly really. I suppose it depends on the wolf, hmm?"

Silence nodded, slightly nervous around him for some strange reason. "I am. I was born in the Angelic pack, but my father was the son of the alpha in the Demonic pack. Quite an odd heritage if I do say so myself, but it gave me an advantage in becoming a Mystic. The skywalkers enjoy selecting the rarities and the odd wolves out. "
His voice when he spoke, no wait sang, was calming to her. Something she had not heard for quite some time nor did she think she would ever hear it again. Music, yes she had known it long ago but now her voice was gone- taken by the demonic side of her and replaced with something quite different.
"You speak of these things as if you are one of them, who are you? Not your name but your purpose, your fate is clouded by something. I am not sure if it is some darkness of a light far to bright to see through. You are not a Mystic, and if you are you are from a place I know not of."
She paused, letting her words fade before answering his question. "I feel very little right now." She laughed gently, "I am to worried about my pack and-" She paused her mind not wanting to tell this wolf what she knew as did the rest of the pack. She didn't know if this was the kind of wolf to be telling that she had a pup. "and other things."
ooc;; Ok, I don't have my computer back and it won't be back for a very very long time since it is completely broken now. Along with my dads computer but thankfully he went out and bought a laptop which they are letting me use. They thought I was on other sites - didn't know I was actually running one. -.- Lol. Its hard to work with a laptop though and I won't be on every night and I can't go on for long at all. Hopefully I will be able to though.

Crescendo gave a soft chuckle and nodded toward her belly.
"A fine member of the family you are to them, to worry for them near and far. I see that there shall be yet another that will join you soon."
The wind blew calmly through the night air as his fur danced slightly in the breeze. Twas very soft indeed. It carried the sound of a faint heart beating to his ears, and he gently hummed a random but leggaro tune to it with a smile.
"Do you yet know if it is a male or female?"
He knew that he seemed to dance around the questions she asked, though he felt they could wait for a little later. It could serve.. as a bed time story perhaps. He chuckled to himself at the thought. Thinking about pups made him quite happy. They are the embodiment of joy and honesty; innocence; more importantly, they are the future.
ooc; I'm sorry my post is short this time, but I don't want things to move to slowly, plus, I want to know if you want something to happen in this rp, like an attack or something. etc. XD  Glad you're back. It's lonely here without you. Even though I see you everyday. :cough: XDDD <3

ooc;; Lol. Don't be lonely, and yes you do see me everyday. 'Cept this Thursday and Friday. *sniffles* O well, can't see friends 24/7 else they would get boring . . . LOL! NOT! Anyway, don't worry about the short posts. So long as I have something to work with it is fine and dandy. ^-^ Guess what!! Its mini John Quincy Adams!! O.o Ah, good times good times . . . . *begins to reminisce*
bic;; Silence shifted uneasily, unsure how the wolf had known and still wanting to know who he was.
"I don't know, all I know is its name." She paused slightly, thinking of what the Skywalkers had told her.
"Do you belong to a pack? Or are you a loner?" she knew that they pack of rouges lived just north of the territory, and though she was certain he was not one of them she couldn't risk letting one inside of the pack.

He lowered his chin in a form of submission as his ears flickered.
"I won't ask its name. I shall merely congratulate you."
Lifting his chin again, Crescendo gazed into her eyes, as if to convey that he had come too far into the conversation to tell any lies. His smile still lingered.
"I am a loner, I drift from place to place listening to the songs of others. I want to hear all different melodies before I take my leave of this world."
He closed his eyes and chuckled softly, dribbling his tongue over his nose to wet it some before speaking again.
"I have been disposed of by my pack, because of my lack of abilities so to speak. An oddball is always the one to be picked out, mm?" He laughed gently, amusement gracing his voice, though neither pain nor grief accompanied it.
"I understood why, however. You see, each wolf has his or her special power, every member must contribute to the survival of the whole. I, being born with none, was always an extra to be looked after for. Oh, it is quite amusing how my own kin would try and 'awaken' the power within me. Whatever power it would be."
Crescendo took in small breath and continued wistfully, he liked telling stories.
"It was agreed by our pack council that I leave. Most were happy that I was to be expelled because of my uniqueness. But it is quite all right, I know I shall see them again, whenever that may be. I left very young, but it is imperative that the young ones in the pack learn and know the basic courses of action if left alone or get lost. I consider myself quite lucky. "
"Ever since I left, I traveled to many places, learning new things, and I happened upon man animals. The human creatures fascinated me, especially their music. It was from them I learned rhythm and tune, melody and beat. They let me play with their man cubs, and my affections for all young lings grew."
"After a while, I left the humans, drifted off again and wandered the wilderness for countless seasons. I became in tune with much of nature, I understood the other creatures of the world and learned respect. Love. Many things. I killed only to feed, and gave aid to those who would accept it. However, I cannot deny my presence at first would not be pleasing to those round me."
"Age has not caught me by the tail yet, and I wandered farther than I normally would. Then I found myself here. There was a tune harmonized by a number of emotions here, it made me quite curious. And you asked before what my purpose is."
Crescendo shrugged, his fur shaking somewhat from laughter.
"Who knows. I am just an old wolf running around prancing like a pup and yelping songs into the air."
He paused for a moment and tilted his head childishly, chuckling softly.
"All these seasons, I've grown accustomed to telling little tidbits of my story. I hope I am not boring you, Silence."

"I am afraid boring is no longer in my vocabulary." She laughed, "I learn to listen, and I love to learn." Shifting slightly she watched him with a strange interest. He was old, yes.
Something about him reminded her of Teethakin and Night. A strange feeling indeed, one that she had never had. It made her know that they were indeed gone, but not forgotten. At least they were in a better position than her. Teethakin one of the Eternals, and Night the leader of a pack of mountain lions. It made her wonder what purpose she actually played in all this, it seemed all she could do was bring about death and destruction. Nothing she knew really helped anyone, did it?
It was that moment that a scent caught her attention. "Great . . . . Daemon is back." She looked towards Crescendo, "You may want to leave now. Things are going to get a tad bit nasty."
ooc;; I am bored, and Crescendo must meet Daemon! Muwhahaha! Oh, and message me before you continue it because I have to tell you some plot line details with you and Daemon that I made up. Yea for plot lines!!

As he watched her, his lips curled into a smile.
"Everything should be part of your vocabulary. It is never a good thing to let emotions and memories drift from you."
He closed his eyes and snorted: a scent had also reached his nostrils, though it was not quite pleasant. Crescendo lifted his head and stood. There was a tremor in the wind that carried much intensity with it. Such a feeling swept over him and caused his muscles to ripple tensely before relaxing again.
"I am willing to assume this Daemon character is not very pleasant." He shook his head and breathed out a sigh to release a tension prompt by curiosity, "I shall stay."
He heard drums and low minor chords of strings approaching. Crescendo's shoulders broadened slightly as he took a single step forth.
How exciting...

"You assume correctly. Daemon is as his name implies." She growled slightly as the all to familiar sound of his soft laughter resounded in the depths of the forest.
Slightly worried, but not showing it in her voice she spoke lightly, "You can stay if you wish, but if he wishes to fight you are better off leaving. He will not harm me, though he'll gladly rip you to shreds without blinking an eye even if you could harm him he would only relish in the pain."
Again the soft laughter echoed in the near distance, this time a tad bit closer and far from happy, more of foreshadowing some evil intention.
"Indeed my love, indeed."
